The Silent Conversations Course
This isn’t a course in the traditional sense. It’s an invitation.
An invitation to step out of the noise, pause, and notice what’s alive in you.
An invitation to speak—not to impress or solve, but to share from a place of authenticity.
An invitation to listen—not to respond, but to fully take in someone else’s experience.
What emerges is not predictable, but it is meaningful. In this space, depth becomes accessible, connection becomes effortless, and even the ordinary can feel sacred.
While I don’t like to promise outcomes I see these sessions an an antidote to the inauthentic and shallow nature of many of our modern interactions. It attempts to get back to the core of our connecting, a space that has brought immense wholeness and satisfaction to my life.
If your life is missing genuine connection and authentic expression, this course may show you how it is so much closer than we think, more an innate quality waiting to be revealed than something to be created or built.
Each week, we’ll begin with silence. From there, we’ll explore what arises around considered and deeply human themes—thoughts, feelings, noticings—without agenda, just attention.
Structure & Guidelines
5 sessions over 5 weeks within a closed group of 8 people that take place on Zoom.
If you are yet to join one of these discussions, the format is simple. We open up with 15 minutes of silence, no hellos or intros. I then ask you to share or reflect on your experience in the silence. It is followed by two more 10-minute periods of silence with a question to contemplate on the day’s theme and then further rounds of talking in between.
Key guidelines include:
Only talk if you feel like it, no obligation to at any point (we don't do personal introductions, etc.)
Please don’t try to provide solutions for others or deal in advice / coach, speak from your own perspective
Please don't ask each other questions, it avoids any obligation for someone to speak
These sessions aren’t about sharing our life stories, clever quotes, or being the most profound, and so on. Please try to speak from what is genuinely emerging from your experience in the silence.
Please be on time, people won't be allowed in if more than a couple of minutes late, and stay until the end
Please commit to showing up for all 5 sessions
Confidentiality is a must

Testimonials
I’ve had the opportunity of attending several of Mark’s Silent Conversations last year and they were by far the best self development I’ve experienced. He’s onto something big and I recommend this to anyone searching for deeper meaning and connection with themselves and others. A humanistic approach with quite a profound output for me.
- Clive Lafferty, Founder at Tandem
It’s a beautiful experience that strips away the typical noise and rush of ordinary life, opening space for genuine and authentic connection and expression on life’s most fascinating of concepts. The silent groups are one of a kind and I’m so grateful to have experienced the gift of silence facilitated so wonderfully by Mark!
- Annabelle Harding, The School of Life
These conversations are a fantastic practice for highlighting what we so easily miss in conversations-as-usual. The world of facilitation is full of clever techniques, but what Mark practices is something so much richer and more fundamental to connecting to our own, and each other's, intelligence.
- Johnnie Moore, Unhurried Conversations
Mark's silent conversations are a wellspring of beauty and homecoming into a richer way of being. Mark’s giftedness and capacity to hold space makes for a uniquely meaningful experience as the busyness of the thinking mind fades into the background, making way for deeper connection with self and others in the room.
